Video Game Design with Explorations:
Salut New France! April 03
Below you can find the games made in Nathalie Malhamé’s class during the Explorations Video Game Design workshop on April 3rd.
The students learned about the history of early settlements in Canada, and also learned about how to produce video games. They created unique characters to settle New France, and created unique settlements for their settlers. They also learned about historical advances in naval engineering, and they completed a ship for their characters’ trip across the Atlantic ocean. Then they completed the code functions to make their settlement interactive.
This workshop was completed with RPG Maker MV. You can play the students’ games by clicking on the link with their names. If you get stuck, you can close the game and try again.
Students who are interested in continuing to learn about Video Game Design can sign up for our courses on Sunday afternoons. Video Game Design is also offered during our epic camp programs, so be sure to check out our offerings for summer!
