Preparing Tomorrow's Leaders

We are excited to announce our new Leadership Program! This program offers a combination of fun activities, formal training, and practical experience.

Participants must be a minimum of 15 years old by June 25.

Participants will receive mentorship and training to develop their abilities in the following areas:

  • Leadership & Supervision
  • Debate & Communication
  • Conflict Resolution
  • Professionalism
  • Interview Preparation
  • First Aid and CPR
  • Event Planning
  • Finance & Entrepreneurship

Beyond training from a professional mentor, skills for these subjects are developed through fun activities like Debate Contests and Role Playing Games.

Participants gain practical experience by assisting with supervision, and they assist with leading some activities for younger campers.

Participants will also develop their money management and event planning skills by organizing a Carnival Day in each camp session, which gives them the opportunity to have fun by being entrepreneurs.

Explorations has historically provided the opportunity for learners from low-income families to participate through subsidized scholarships. Students are identified by pedagogical constultants from the EMSB, and these exceptional young scholars elevate our classes with unique contributions.

Due to budget cuts from the provincial government, over 30 children in our community may miss out on a summer filled with learning, joy, and connection.
