Our Policies

Cancellation Policy

Full reimbursement of Camp Fees (not including a 10% administration fee) will be granted if a written request is received 10 days prior to the following Session of Camp. A reimbursement will not be granted without a written request, sent by email to info@explorationslearning.com.

Extended Care

Extended Care is a supplementary fee, with Session registration available prior to the start of Camp, or billed at the end of each Session on a per-day basis for 25$/day. All pick-ups after 6:00 PM will be billed an extra 5.00$/per minute. Extended Care is not applicable to the Panorama Program.

Behaviour Policy

In the event of a bad behavioral incident at Camp, parents of the involved parties will be contacted if the incident cannot be settled by our staff and counselors (an incident report will be filed for any major one). Explorations adopts a three strike policy. Any repeated behaviors such as rudeness, aggression or violence will result in discharge from the Camp after three occurrences, with no refund.

It is imperative that the campers respect each other’s work, and any interference with someone else’s projects or materials will result in immediate removal from the Camp for the rest of the day. If this behavior does not improve, Explorations reserves the right to discharge the camper into the parents’ care for the rest of the Session with no refund.

Early Dismissal and Pickup

For early dismissals, please send us an email at info@explorationslearning.com stating the name of the camper and dismissal time at least two hours in advance to ensure that your pick-up will be as smooth as possible. If we do not receive advance notice, we cannot guarantee that your child will be ready for pick-up upon your arrival, since many groups leave the campus during the camp day.

The Camp must be notified by email before the time of pickup if a camper is being picked up by someone other than their guardian (ex: other family member, nanny, family friend, etc). No camper will be permitted to leave Camp alone without a written authorization from their guardian.

Hold Harmless Agreement

Safety is a priority at Explorations, but accidents may still occur, as some activities carry some risk due to the materials and tools used. It is the campers’ responsibility to act safely, to follow the safety procedures and to use the protective equipment provided. Any child who insists on behaving unsafely during an activity may be removed from the activity in question.

Allergies and Sharing of Food

All of Explorations’ spaces are nut-free, and bringing nuts (tree nuts, peanuts, etc) to Camp is prohibited. Any foods containing nuts will be immediately removed and disposed of. The sharing of any food between campers is not allowed, as this poses a risk for allergies and dietary restrictions.

Medication and Illness Policy

If your child has a pre-existing medical condition that requires administering medication on a daily basis or that impacts their ability to participate in the activities, please send an email to info@explorationslearning.com before the start of the Session they will be participating in. All medications should be brought to the office and stored by a staff member (with the exception of Epipens).

If a camper is ill or shows signs of sickness, Explorations reserves the right to call the camper’s guardian and request they pick up the child in question.
