Given the success of our summer 2016 Explorations Camp at our new downtown location, I am pleased to confirm that Trafalgar School has once again kindly agreed be our host school. Session 1 of camp will begin July 3 and run through to July 14. Session 2 will begin July 17 and end July 28.
The Trafalgar location provides the camp with unparalleled access to museums, university campuses, cultural centers and of course the mountain. As for the traffic issues we all dealt with last year, I am pleased to report that the city has confirmed that the road re-construction in the downtown core will be completed by the beginning of summer of 2017 in time for Montreal’s 375thAnniversary celebrations (which we also hope to include in some of our camp activities). As well, the condo construction on Simpson, just opposite Trafalgar School, will have been completed before the camp begins. I have been in conversation with Trafalgar Principal, Katherine Nikidis, and we hope to provide a much better and safer drop off and pick up arrangement utilizing the less busy Simpson access.
In the meantime and as we prepare for next summer, we would like to get your feedback as 2016 Camper families as we strive to improve our offerings and camp experience from year to year. In this regard please follow help us by completing this survey.
