Summer Camp Programs

Welcome to Explorations

Explorations Summer Camp stands at the heart of our programs and learning experiences. Hosted in NDG during the first four weeks of July, the camp features over 60 activities and program for children and teens from ages 5 to 18.

McGill Explorations was founded in 1981 by Professor Bruce Shore and a group of fellow McGill University Professors. Founding priorities included the development of a model program which would support teacher education at McGill at a camp which engaged children in a rich learning environment and where learning and fun were synonymous.

Activities continue to be led by certified teachers who are specialists in the fields of mathematics, language arts, technology including digital media, science, music, physical education, environmental studies and early childhood education.
