Frequently Asked Questions

This program is open to children under the age of 5 within the registered communities.

Yes! These books are your child’s to keep forever! Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library creates a love of book ownership and encourages a love of reading as an everyday activity. For many children, these will be the first books they will own. Children are very excited to receive their own book in the mail and see their own name on the mailing label.  This helps to encourage their enthusiasm about reading the books.

The first book will arrive approximately 8 to 10 weeks after registration.

After receiving the first book, a new book will arrive every month until a child’s fifth birthday.

The child’s parent or legal guardian can register them for this program.

All books will be delivered by Canada Post to the address provided.
