This is a \u201chands-on\u201d, \u201cfeet on the ground\u201d activity that does not rely on screens, smartphones or tablets but rather requires active participation in an authentic \u201creal-time\u201d experience.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">The <b>Panorama of Arts and Culture<\/b> <b>(PAC<\/b>) module offers an unparalleled authentic Montreal experience. Participants assemble daily at McGill\u2019s Roddick Gates (Sherbrooke Street and<\/span> <span class=\"s1\">McGill College Avenue<\/span><span class=\"s2\">) <\/span><span class=\"s1\">to then set off to chosen sites and activities that best represent the Arts and Cultural scene in Montreal and the surrounding area. Led by McGill graduate, musician and local private school teacher <i>Leon Yu,<\/i> participants will visit museums, galleries, theatre and performance locales, film and music studios as well as outdoor music and performance venues.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">Participants will meet local artists and performers and have the opportunity to discuss the challenges and rewards of engaging in the pursuit of creative expression. <b>PAC<\/b> participants will develop a greater appreciation of what it is to self-identify as an artist.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">Sites to visit will include;<i> la Mus\u00e9e d&#8217;art contemporain de Montr\u00e9al<\/i><b><i>, <\/i><\/b><i>Maison Symphonique, <\/i>the <i>McGill Conservatory, the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, <\/i>The<i> National Film Board Studios, <\/i><\/span><span class=\"s3\"><i>Quartier des Spectacles<\/i><\/span><span class=\"s1\"><i>,<\/i> the Fine Arts departments, galleries and studios at <i>Concordia <\/i>and<i> Dawson<\/i> <i>College<\/i> and the <i>McGill Conservatory of Music<\/i>,<b> <\/b>as well as other locations to be confirmed later.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">Most of the sites we will visit will be within walking distance or a short bus ride away from our downtown morning meeting place. Occasionally, we (will) <\/span><span class=\"s3\">may<\/span><span class=\"s1\"> hire a local charter company so that we can access more distant sites and venues.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">At the end of each session, campers and their families will be provided an album of photos, video clips, and highlights to be shared as a family. <\/span><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Panorama of Arts and Culture represents an outstanding opportunity for both local and International teenagers to experience and share the arts and cultural scene in Montreal.
