We are pleased to announce a summer enrichment program to be hosted at the Learning Centre (6591 Somerled in NDG). From August 3 to August 28, participants (entering Grade 3 to 6) will take part in a series of activities and projects that will foster and develop their problem-solving abilities and design skills. With activities based in art, science, engineering, technology and math, our groups will discover different and unique “beyond-the-book” ways of learning new skills and acquiring knowledge.
Learners will take part in a series of engaging activities throughout the day, which will further inspire problem-solving and creativity. In the afternoon, children will have a dedicated period to develop their own KiD Ph.D. project and to work with their mentors and peers to further their research and design.
Each week’s learning is centered around a theme such as Video Game Design, Entrepreneurship, and Life on Earth. This helps guide our teachers and learners’ questioning and exploration. By taking part in activities related to these themes, participants will soon discover the multifaceted nature of learning.
